NEWSELA

I have used NEWSELA to encourage literacy with my students and have found it to be very good.  Not only is the free version effective but it is applicable to elementary, middle, and high school.  Multiple topics fit all classes and the reading level is adjustable to help your struggling readers and challenge your rockin' readers!  A dashboard allows you to view progress that is aligned to common core state standards.  It is a great formative assessment tool too.

Select the button below to learn more about NEWSELA and/or becoming certified.  I took the online class and became certified last year.  It was not too time consuming, could be done online/anytime, and is this month's recommended resource.
